DS was accepted to Pitt last month. He received a generous $15000 in merit money. He did not receive a Chancellor's invitation. He took the ACT again in Dec. His score went up 2 points to 34. Do you think it's too late for a Chancellor's invitation? Ds did send the new score to Pitt. Should he email them? Phone? I was thinking of having him phone financial aid to ask if they were aware of the new score?

Thanks

You could send it in and tell Pitt, but Chancellors is decided by UHC using factors beyond just numbers. VERY few people are even invited to apply for it, so I’m not sure if a 2-point increase in the ACT score will do much.

I would call and talk to someone before it is too late. My S received a 34 on the ACT and did receive an invite. It is always worth a try.

Consider emailing a copy of the ACT to the financial aid office after you phone them along with sending the the official scores.

Thanks. He will phone them. I feel like we have a bit more time. I thought the deadline for applying for Chancellor’s was 1/15 and that’s the deadline for applying to Pitt in order to apply for C. From past years, it looks like they invite 400-500 people.
