Too late for OSU merit?

My younger son found out yesterday he was accepted to OSU for Computer Science and Engineering. Top 5% of his class, 34 ACT. We are out of state. No word yet on any merit award, and I am a little concerned because he applied mid-December. If he received the Buckeye award, OSU would be his/our top choice…but other threads have said that they are not awarding any more awards. This would be a shame, since the $11,400 per year really does not even bring the tuition down to an in state level, but takes some sting out of going out of state.

Anyone receive any merit awards in the last week or two or hear anything definitive?

Unfortunately, if you look at the criteria for scholarships, you needed to have your application and all supporting documents to the school by 11/1. IMost likely that at this point, all scholarships monies have gone out. It is always possible that they held some back for top candidates, but I wouldn’t count on it.
