Too Late???

Hi, this is my first post.
I was wondering is it too late to appeal if i have been rejected. My stats weren't horrible, but they were pretty good. I have made my decision and paid my deposit at NYU-Stern, but is it too late to appeal. My mom found out about appeals and wants me to if i can.

Thanks in advance!

What do you think even merits an appeal? Do you have new information that was omitted from your original application or something?

I was only wondering if i could because on the UC Berkeley forum it said that the student body president appealed 3 times before getting in. I realize that it could be different for Penn.

If they've already looked at your application as it is and said no, that's that. What would be the point of appealing the exact same application which has already been evaluated and rejected?

Public schools sometimes permit appeals. I've never heard of a private school, let alone an Ivy, have any kind of an appeal process.

usually public schools will be more likely to grant appeals, because many private schools go on "holistic" decisions, which basically is a euphemism that means they can do what they want. since u got into stern, i'm assuming you got rejected from wharton. wharton is just as competitive as HYP and unless you are the absolute greatest applicant (4.0 UW, 2400, 800s on SATIIs, started your own business) it would not make sense to appeal.

if you have new information that might be a different story. after may 1st though, it'll probably be really tough to appeal at any school, let alone a top private school.

Oh well then, i'm happy where im going...it was my mom who wanted to find out if i could appeal, and i dont think undergraduate degrees make a difference. However, i will hope to go to wharton for my masters degree or MBA.
Thanks guys!
