Too many applicants this year, decisions aimed in mid-march!!

Countess - Are you speculating that it will be March 14 because I did not think that the final date was set yet?

Mid-March!?! That’s like a million seconds away…breathes heavy

1,000,000…999,999…999,998…999,997…

twitches

smoda61- I think there’s a good chance decisions will be March 14 (Pi Day). Decisions come out in “mid-march”, and according to collegeboard ([College Search - Massachusetts Institute of Technology - MIT - Deadlines](<a href=“College Search - BigFuture | College Board”>College Search - BigFuture | College Board)), they notify you by March 20 (a Friday). The past few years, decisions have come out on a Saturday in the “teens” of March… this year, the only Saturday that would “fit” that would be March 14. However, there’s always a possibility that decisions won’t be on a Saturday (EA decisions are “usually” on a Saturday, but they weren’t this year).

Interesting. I did not know all those different factors. Thank you.

I thought the set decision day was March 20, unless they’ve changed it…I hope they’ve made it earlier-- I’m sick of waiting after being deferred EA! Good luck to all

prepre- I too was deferred EA, and I’m growing tired of waiting. However, according to one of the blogs- http://www.mitadmissions.org/topics/apply/the_selection_process_application_reading_committee_and_decisions/february_updates.shtml-</a> they have NOT chosen an official decision day yet.

We all have about half a month to wait. Just relax
