too weird to put in box??

I am currently filling out Rice's supplement, and I just got to the box ("Fill the box on the right with something that appeals to you")

I have a little owl pin (his name is Hoots Magoo and he's fairly frightening) that I bought on my first day of working at Goodwill. Since I wrote my essay about working there, and Rice's mascot is the owl, is it possible that I could pin Hoots to the paper (with short explanation, of course)?

And if I do this, would it be possible to request him back? I'd give them the envelope and postage, of course.

Opinions are greatly appreciated.

You can call the admissions office and ask if you want a definitive answer, but my personal advice is to not count on getting it back if you send it in.

Perhaps a photograph or sketch would suffice instead? If the pin is textured, what about a relief? (The ol' crayon rubbed on paper atop the object trick?)
