Topic for essay?

I’ve been thinking for a while on what my topic for my Common App essay should be and need some help.

I’ve always been exposed to engineering since I was very little, and the topics of rockets and theme parks have always fascinated me- I’m known to be obsessed on these two topics and have done some extracurricular activities related to these (i.e designing rockets and theme parks in my spare time, making a 3D printing club where we 3d printed rockets and theme parks to be table decorations, doing science projects on rockets and receiving positive feedback/awards etc) and looking back I think it shows that I can be determined in what I want and shows that I don’t give up in my passions.

Would this be a good topic for me to write about?

How much detail should I give in my essay? I don’t want to go over my 600 word limit when I have PLENTY to talk about

It is not the topic, it is how you deliver the topic.

Make it personal, make it about you, and how special you are. And make it interesting.
