Im running xc in Florida. I’m going to be a senior and im trying to get 15:30 in the 5k.

Senior Year, had shin splints for most of outdoor, so I couldn’t improve my 800 time because I couldn’t do distance runs.

Still, dropped my 400 from 56.0–>53.5. Had an indoor PR of 2:18–>2:09 high, relay split. Tried the mile once, got 5:08, could go faster. Think I have a 4:55 or low 4:50’s if I trained for it and learned to race it.

Ran a 5k after the season ended and got 20:32, which is only a little off of XC, so I am in good shape for 5k’s in the fall, hopefully going to go low or sub 18. Have a PR of 18:57.

Wasn’t a bad season for speed, but relatively unsuccessful because me and a teammate could have potentially have gone close to 2 flat in the 800. He got 2:01 and we ran all the same workouts (almost identical times, maybe he was 1 sec faster on like 300’s or all-out 400, but very close), so I think I had the potential for around 2:03-2:04. 61’s felt easy in practice.

I’m mostly a jumper and hurdler. I’m subpar in all of my events except for the triple jump, I jumped 40ft 5in at state qualifiers. It felt pretty good.
