So, there are about 14,000 "ZOMG WHAT ARE MY CHANCES!!1!!" posts on here but I felt compelled to add yet another one. I want to transfer to UC Berkeley in the Fall of 2010 as a Psych major. I feel like I'm pretty "well-rounded". My GPA is alright, but not great...it's about a 3.6. I work 20-30 hours a week as a manager at a Jamba Juice (don't snicker!), and I have a job in intelligence with the California National Guard. This job requires a Top Secret Security clearance, which I was recently granted...I don't know if that makes a difference or not. I go to a cc that has a high transfer rate to UCB. I've also heard that UCs give priority to veterans/military members.

This whole transfer process is making me lose sleep! Can someone give me some real advice or validation of some sort? I'd really appreciate it.

Also, if I don't get Psych as my major, do I get my second choice automatically or is my whole application discarded?

Thanks.
