Transcripts!

Hi,

I just finished my senior year of high school.. Now it's time to send in those transcipts. So I've already sent in my high school transcript but UCSD says they want transcripts from any college level UC transferable courses I took during high school. I took a lame history course during the summer of my freshmen year at a community college to fulfill the World History requirement for my school and for the a-g requirement. I half-assed the class (I wasn't into academics at the time) and ended up getting a C. Well since UCSD wants that transcript, does that mean I'm going to start off my UC GPA with a C? Do I have to send this in? It's already included in my high school transcript as a grade during my sophomore year.

I think you should turn it in because you might get 2 quarters taken off, because I got two off for doing that.

One, the grade won't affect your GPA.

Two, UCSD won't care if you never send it in.

i never sent in the transcript for a class i did poorly at cc in. if they ever bug me about it, i'll just say i forgot. OR that class was probably put on my hs transcript (because i sent in the transcript to my hs for credit) and ucsd already knows.

but seriously speaking, if that second thing happened to me, it never showed up on my college transcript that i got a C in government. the only things that transferred were APs and other classes i took at a different communty college.

does sending in your transcript include sending in your ap scores? or is that seperate?

Separate..

does anybody already have a check in their tritonlink box for 'transcript received' ?

Nope not me.

Mine is received and validated.

community college courses do not count towards your gpa, they just count for credits (however they probably show up on your transcript, but that i'm not sure about)

trust me, i know this full well. i'm taking a couple math courses right now, and it's very tempting to slack off and get C's in the classes...fortunately, the classes are only 6 weeks long so it's not that bad...

mine's been received but hasn't been validated yet.
