Transfer acceptance rate?

Does anyone know the percentage of transfers that were accepted?

And the total number that were accepted out of how many applied?

702/2011: 34.9% acceptance rate

this is a good article that i found in a search for this stuff if you're interested:

http://www.collegejournal.com/aidadmissions/newstrends/20061031-gamerman.html

evidently, a lot of people are transferring these days

That number includes Gauranteed Transfers tho doesn't it?

i'm actually not sure, i would assume so but i guess you would have to ask the admissions office

Well it says so in the article (checked after I wrote that)...so ya...when realistically thinking about it bring the % down accordingly lol

I'm not sure if this is the appropriate palce to ask this but... Anyone who recieved a GT, could you perhaps post how you recieved this. i.e. Did you apply ED and get the GT on Dec 15 OR, did you get deffered and get the GT in April? Thanks

I applied regular and got the answer online...then searched it and stumbled upon this cool website called College Confidential and asked about it. Later got a giant packet explaining it.

(I THINK some waitlistees get it too if they don't get in eventually...think)

i mean i know it mentiosn gts in the article but does it say they're included?

I would bet on it but I guess to be clear sum1 who actually wants to put the time into it should look it up. I've seen pages actually saying them so they are out there...

my article was a farse!!!

Cornell reported acceptance rate for external transfers 2006: 27%

http://dpb.cornell.edu/documents/1000155.pdf

stupid media

this is crazzzzzy...

2006 Transfer rates by school:

CALS: 51%
Architecture: 14%
A & S: 8%
Engineering: 31%
Hotel Admin: 25%
Hum Ec: 43%
ILR: 53%

i'm guessing that CALS and ILR are high because of GTs? but the note on the bottom says "special students not included" what does that mean

Do hum ec or hotel have gts?

Ya ILR and CALS def r so high cuz of GTs

Where did you get the transfer rates for each individual school?

thx same i've got that printout and have been trying to find the link forever!

that information saying "special students not included" means that GTs are excluded, according to a Cornell office person that I spoke with on the phone.

go here:

http://dpb.cornell.edu/F_Undergraduate_Admissions.htm

it has all of the statistics (not just transfer) for all of the schools for like 25 years or so.

enjoy haha

p.s. - that's interesting about the gt's..so the acceptance rate is relatively high anyway...hmm

edit: here's something strange...minority acceptance rate is only 3% higher than "other," 27% v. 24%. i know that minority status has a huge effect but i guess maybe not as much as i thought? probably they don't just accept a urm just because they are a urm but they have to be a qualified urm and the urm status will get them in? i guess that it's the same with legacy

2nd edit: it says on the bottom that "minorities" do include asians

3rd edit (yes i know): minority acceptance rate has gone DOWN since 1982 from 35 to 27%

Does anybody know the transfer acceptance rate for the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences not including the special students acceptance rate?
