Transfer Alliance Project

I heard a program TAP (Transfer Alliance Project), which is specialized for those students who come from the low-income family, minority group and first-generation children. Do you know what students need to do after joining the program? Does it enhance the admission chance to Berkeley?

Berkeley doesnt have a TAP program, only UCLA.

Berkeley does have the TAP program, I was in it. The program helps you with your application, but it doesn’t necessarily help your admission chances, at least not directly. You need to see the Berkeley rep when they visit your school’s transfer center and they will be the ones who admit you into the program and help you with your application.

To add to what JavyUCB said, the program enhances your chance by providing additional support, not giving you back channel access to admission. I think TAP provides some sort of summer research internship and boasts a higher admit rate to Cal for participants (90%?). Again, participation demonstrates higher achievement that makes the applicants more desirable, not back channel access to admission.
