I might go to Texas Tech next year, which accepts credit for 3s on the AP exams. Now, if I were to transfer after a year or two to some other school that only accepts 4s and 5s or not at all, would the credit I got from my AP scores of like a 3 or 4 transfer to the new school? I mean, I’d almost be a sophomore if I started at Tech, but then if I transferred as a Junior to UT Austin or something where you need at least a 4, would I have to go back and take a bunch of Intro courses for the classes I’d gotten 3s for? That would suck.

No, you lose the credit. For example, I have something like 30 units of AP credit at my CA community college. If I transferred to Stanford (where rules are much more strict) I would only have like 6 credits and would drop down a year. It sucks.

Okay. Thanks. I think I'll just stick with Tech and try to graduate in 3 years, then.
