What is my chance of getting into FSU with an AA degree from a florida state college. I know the 2+2 role bu I also know that does not mean that you have to be accepted to your first choice if i am right. Anyway I applied for fall 2011 last week. I will have my AA in the spring. I applied early so if I dont get in then I have time to reapply for summer or fall. My Gpa right now is a 3.0 but it will go up after this semester. All I have left is electives. Anyway if someone can give me experience coming from a community college. Also my intended major is Criminology so if that helps with anything.

any help?!?!?!

I just transfered with my AA and 88 credits but I came from USF not a community college. However, I had no problem at all with my 3.3 GPA. My bf also just transfered from a community college withOUT his AA and got in with no problems. His gpa was a 3.8. Usually I think as long as you have your AA and all the requirements for the school AND your intended major, you shouldnt have a problem

Be on map for your major.

Have met all the prereq’s.

That should be easy for the planned major and you should be in if you get your GPA up to a 3.2.-3.4

Transcript received, not yet reviewed for completeness. I got this on my update what does this mean?!?! thanks

It means they received it, but not yet looked at it. Its going to be updated stating it was sent to your academic college (college of fine arts, sciences, etc) for review, before it will tell you their decision.

how long should i expect for that since i have done it early… atleast i assume it was early i did it the first day of school 23 of august… How long till i get a response… and thanks!

It might be months from now… You’re better off forgetting about it (and applying to safety schools) until you get a notification of the decision. It’s much less stressful that way.

I put in for usf, unf, and uf… i got an AA so you have to apply to 4 to be guarnteed but i dont think criminology is limited access so… i should be good right

what does this mean it just got update:

An updated transcript which includes Fall Term grades is required.

I applied for fall of 2011 so am i on hold till fall grades are out?

you are asking the same thing on two different threads. I answered on the other thread. You applied too early for a transfer and yes they will not look at your application for Fall 2011 until Fall 2010 grades are available. AND they might then defer again until spring grades are available. See my other answer for more info.

Ya I did lol. I think i will just call at the end of the week and see what they really mean. Because they should still be able to give me an answer and give restricitons that i must maintain a certain gpa or grade in certain courses

You will need to fulfill the CLAS/CLEP requirements before they will even bother looking at your application.

Thats
2x english classes with 2.5 or 3.0 average
2x math classes with 2.5 or 3.0 average
I think 2/3x foreign language classes too.

Yes call. them. And no they will not give you an answer at this point. If you do not have enough for them to evaluate, and if it is too far from matriculation, they will not give you an answer. That is how admissions for transfers without an AA is.

I talked to someone and they reffered me to an actual officer or whatever that makes decisions. I talked to her for a while and she was actually really nice and answered all my questions, and I got the answers I was looking for. She said that like you said sunny that I have to wait till the fall grades are out. She even said they havent started looking at any applications yet they will begin summer next week. But anyway thanks! she was really helpful about tranfering with an AA from a state college and cleared everything up! Im excited
