Transfer chances as Mathematics major in CLAS

I currently am a student finishing my A.A at a state college. I am a mathematics major that will be applying to CLAS for spring 2020. I graduate Fall 2019. I was wondering if anyone had any stats for acceptance in the college and with the major. I heard mathematics isn’t that popular for transfers which makes my chances better, but I was still wondering. I took Calc 1 and 2 in high school as AP and as far as I’ve been told they don’t count towards the GPA and I got a C+ in calc 3 last semester and currently in DE this semester. Does anyone have transfer mathematics stats?

I don’t think UF shares the transfer stats by major, only by college.

Math isn’t very competitive, but you do need to do well in your math classes.

Note that UF uses a different grading scale than Santa Fe. At SFC a C+ is a 2.5. However, UF uses “-”, like B- and C-, so at UF a B- is 2.67 and a C+ is 2.33. Talk with one of the advisers at SFC, and make sure that C+ isn’t an issue. Hopefully it’s not.

Otherwise, shoot for B’s on all of your math classes!

Good Luck!
