Hey, I'm just wondering how this whole process works. I'm currently a freshman at Washington U. in STL, but I applied as a Junior level transfer to UF. By the end of spring I'm going to have a total of 30 credits that are transferable and then I believe I'd have 30 from APs. If for some chance though they don't consider you eligible for transfer consideration, will they notify you?

As of now i have a 3.59 GPA, 4.39 in HS, and a 32 ACT

There’s no chance. Transfer to a Florida CC and graduate with an AA. If it’s not a limited access program, your gpa only has to be about 2.5. Some programs have pre reqs. Ex engineering require 3 calculus courses 2 phyiscs w/ calculus and differential equations. You must get a C or higher in those. Also you will have to CLEP a second language.

To answer your question you have to have 60 credits to be even considered as a transfer, but like I said the odds of getting accepted w/o a florida AA is very slim. I’m not sure, but you can probably request an AA certificate (assuming you are passed all classes needed for one) from FIU and then transfer to UF. You would have to ask facts.org.

Unless you’re ineligible for some reason, I think it’s probably inaccurate to say that there’s “no chance.”

The chance is slim from the get-go because you’re not coming from a Florida CC.

But as a junior-level transfer it doesn’t matter at all what you had in high school, aside from having taken the required 2 years of foreign language.

If you are eligible, it will depend heavily on what college and department you are applying to at UF with that GPA. That GPA might get you in as a Statistics major, but probably not for Political Science or a more competitive major.

And no, I don’t think that they will tell you if you are not eligible aside from the rejection letter but I could be wrong. I would call someone in admissions and make sure that you are eligible.
