Transfer Chnace!! THX!

I'm a rising sophomore in Emory University and just decided to transfer to Mcgill. Since it's late now, I can only transfer in my sophomore year...

GPA: last semester 3.8, this semester.....awful, I guess maybe no more than 3.6 but no less than 3.4
SAT: 740CR+770MATH+750WR
High school GPA: Really high. Valedictorian
9 APs (All 4 or 5)

I know if I was applying as an incoming freshman I can surely get in, but since I'm applying as a second year transfer...with a not-so-good GPA... I really don't know my chance now.

I want to do joint honor track (maybe polisci + whatever) in Arts faculty.

What's my chance?

BTW, I will be Quebec resident before applying there. Will that make a difference?

Thank you!

What’s your overall GPA? If you have at least a 3.7 you’re safe, however, you might be able to get in with as slow as a 3.6, nothing lower though.

I think it will be around 3.7 for the first year’s overall GPA.
Do they look at the sophomore first semester GPA too? If so, I may take some easy classes and get a beautiful GPA

I believe they look at your CGPA.

did you get in?

definitely 100% in, regardless of the low gpa.

I’d say >70% chance of getting in.

Your SAT score carries you far in cases like yours.
