Transfer Credit

I'm currently a freshman undergraduate (Pratt) at Duke. I want to take organic chemistry over the summer, but I live in California and I'm wondering where I can find more information about transfer credit. Any links would helpful. Thanks in advance.

Go here:

I didn't read through it, but it probably has everything you need to know. You'll probably have to fill out a form when you get back from Spring Break and have Dr. Bonk sign off on it.

I took Math 103 over the summer at a local university, and it was a pretty good decision (considering all the horror stories I hear about taking 103 at Duke it was a lot less stressful). Your grade doesn't transfer. It says TR in the grade place on your transcript. I'm in Trinity so I'm not sure if Pratt has any quirks that I'm not aware of.

Are there any disadvantages to not having your transfer grade show up on your transcript? Will it be looked down upon by graduate schools?

bump (10 char).

I'm not sure. I'd ask Dr. Bonk. He seems to know everything.

For graduate school, you can always include a copy of your transcript from the other school to show your grades. There's really nothing wrong with getting transfer credit, so long as the rest of your grades support the notion that you did it out of temporal convenience rather than intellectual necessity :)
