Okay I want to transfer to UC Berkeley but I am just starting Community college and I am not sure if this will be what I want in a year (or atleast the major I want).

Can I first start completing the 60 UC transfer credits so I have more time (And finish classes such as math and english)

So basically I hold off the Pre-req. of my major until the last year.

Please if there is any risk or trouble in that let me know.

Because I am not sure if I want Business Admin or Poli Sci or anything else in particular.

i dont know anything about poli sci but i know that for business admin at UCB the pre reqs you need are:
micro and macro econ, managerial and financial acc., Calc I and I believe Stats (if im missign one can someone please chime in?)

sure i guess you could put off taking them till next year... I wouldnt recomend it as classes might fill up, and that might screw you over especially with financial/managerial due to the fact that financial is a pre req to managerial acc (at least at my school)...

Yeah, taking classes that fulfill IGETC and your prerequisites would be a very good idea. If you're leaning towards Poli-Sci, make sure that you take these classes:

American Politics
Comparative Politics/Foreign Governments
U.S. History 1 and 2
History of Western Civilization 1, 2 or other History

It will easily get your social science requirements out of the way.

Thanks asq113, It kind of makes sense about the classes filling up and im not really clear on what the other guys said.

One thing that I am afraid of is that if I complete every thing for Business Admin to transfer to Haas (Hard to get in), and I dont get in, I won't have the same requirements to get into USC's Business Admin.

I recommend getting your feet wet in the most general of your major classes. So some sort of intro to poli sci? See if you actually do like it when there's still time to change it up.

Im sorry I understood you it's just that Business Admin for Berkeley says not to follow IGETC, I did not mean to include you I apologize for that but thank you for your help I appreciate it...the main problem is that your saying it's okay to hold off and the other poster is saying not to hold it off, but I will talk to my counselors (if they even know better than me).

Actually, I was trying to say that you should NOT hold off on prerequisites and instead take classes that fulfill both IGETC and prerequisites IF you choose Poli-Sci over Business Administration. But yeah, if you're leaning towards Business Admin, then you should get your Econ, Accounting, and Calculus classes done as soon as possible. USC's requirements should be pretty similar to UCB's.
