what's the general consensus on elective credit? i'm an english major but have completed all my prereqs. i'm kind of waffling on whether or not i should take an extra english class, but i know it'll just transfer as elective credit so dunno if i really need the elective credit. any advice?

if you get an A, it would boost your gpa! :P

except it’s my last semester before transferring (if i get accepted) and spring GPA is insignificant, especially when we restart our GPAs once transferred. :l

as you can see. thus is my dilemma.

well if youre going to grad school, they will see errryyything and the more As the better i say. but if not, then i say screw it

I hate when people talk about their GPA’s “starting over” when they transfer. Although this is true for the actual school that you are transferring it is absolutely not true for just about everything else.

@redoplease is correct. Grad schools, professional schools, pHD programs, future employers and everyone else who may be interested in your college performance will not just look at your second two years of undergrad but they will look at the entire thing! This includes your CC and your UC grades. In most cases they will simply count it all as one single GPA.

oh ef. i forgot about that reality matter. silly me. thanks both of you. problem solved.

No problem, best of luck in spring.
