<p>"Explain unique aspects of your academic background or valued experiences you may have had that relate to your academic discipline."</p>
<p>Do they mean your intended major? Like say things you have done that's related to your wanted major?</p>
<p>Yes it looks like it. My friend applied to A&M as a transfer and he had the same essay topic. He basically gave his motives for why he is majoring in engineering and what he wants to accomplish.</p>

<p>Another thing to consider is, try to include the faculty research that you are interested in. I hear that works well too. It shows that you know alot about the school. If you cant put that in there, its not a make it or break it.</p>
