I'm in the process of writing my essay to apply as a transfer to NYU (Stern), the question is "Why NYU?" and there's like a million reasons why I want to transfer to NYU but I decided to just focus in one reason, an educational reason, because writing about all the reasons came out being really general, making me sound like I don't really know why I wanted to transfer, the actual question is:
Please discuss your interest in transferring to New York University. Explain your reasons for wanting to leave your current college or university and describe how you feel your educational goals can be better achieved at NYU. (400-500 words)

I decided to make it a positive essay, I started by pointing out all the positive characteristics my current university has, which are characterictics that NYU also has, like being located in a big city, academically challenging, etc. and then saying that though the school is amazing I wanted to transfer because of the fact that my program was oriented towards an area of my major (Marketing) that I'm not interested in and the Stern program gives you the chance to decide which area to focus on with the opportunity to choose your elective coursework, which my current school doesn't do.
Anyway, now I think the essay is too specific and I'm not sure that's a good thing or not... any advice?
