Political science :)

I’m ok with waiting a bit. Wish they would notify sooner rather than later of course. It’s going to be really tough to make everything come together in time for fall classes if they wait until June or July on mine. What would really be awful is waiting all this time just to get rejected, though.

hey, here’s a random yet important question.
How are you guys transferring your immunization records? I know many schools will send over your health file for a small charge, but UF requires a specific document to be filled. I don’t think your current school fills that document and their involvement is limited to simply shipping your file. I could be wrong? I’d hate to think I have to go to the doctor and get the shots all over again so the doctor can fill the document lol

Your immunization record can not be transferred. There is a specific form that has to be filled out and then faxed there. If you can’t get your doctor to sign it quickly enough, the health department will do it and fax it for you immediately. You would never have to get those shots again. There is a website, called Florida Shots, that all health departments and doctor’s offices have access to with all of your shot records since you were a baby.

Side note: I had to go to the health department to have mine signed, because my doctor died two weeks ago.

Accepted yesterday!

Stats:

About Immunization… I went to my home town county school board office and they gave me a copy of my immunization form. I then took it to a doctor and the doctor verified and signed the official UF immunization form.

Also, I have already signed up for preview. June 4th. Any other EE’s going June 4th?

Good luck to those who have not heard yet!

No answer still-- grats to you rpringee3.

Thanks. Try calling, that’s what I did. I called and talked to a lady who gave the email of the undergraduate coordinator for my department. I sent him an email, he replied the same day and was quite cordial. A week later I was in.

Congratulations and thank you for listing how many prereqs you have in progress… it was my belief that they would look at you once you had six finished, and that doesn’t appear to be the case. Did you call undergraduate admissions first and then get passed to the undergraduate coordinator? And what did you say in your e-mail?

Yes I first called undergrad admissions. They gave me the number to COE. They gave me the dept of ECE number, she gave me email of ECE undergrad coordinator.

As for email, I simply just introduced myself, restated my intent, discussed my current progress and gpa… And I asked when they would be getting back to us and if I needed to send more transcripts. Kept it short though.

His reply was along the lines of good to hear from you, if you have 4 out of 8 pre reqs with all A’s then you will most likely get a conditional admit. He said he should have decisions out before my semester at CC ended.

Oh also important, maybe, I replied back to him and thanked home for responding so promptly. Honestly I don’t know if this sequence of events had anything to do with me getting in, but couldn’t of hurt.

Accepted! :D

Congrats!
And thanks, guys, for the immunization info. I’m glad to hear it was a relatively easy and fast process. Sorry to hear about your doctor, btw.

My face when everyone says “CALS takes longer” then gets their answer before me

Congrats Juan What kind of engineering for you?
And thank you Rspring I will definitely try emailing my department soon.
What are going to be your plans for housing?

I’m looking for a place that’s within biking distance to the college. However, I do not want to live on campus or in a “college” apartment complex. I have two friends that live there right now. One is in law school, the other in Vet school. They both found little two bedroom apartments for rent that were within 2-3 miles of campus, but away from all the craziness.

so you’re not considering Campus Lodge or something like that?

I guess not. If its anything like the college apartments where I live now than no thanks. I don’t know too much about Gainesville yet. I honestly wasn’t too confident in getting accepted!

That’s how I feel too. Making all these plans without really knowing.

How do I sign up for transfer preview?
