I love how these random people who have never posted just come on here to say they were accepted. Lol

HAHAHA I was just thinking the same thing PrettyPeridot

Anyone else from engineering heard back yet?

@ToreyPhilemon, the suspense is like torture, I know. I feel for you. Don’t worry, I was going crazy waiting for my decision, checking the website twice a day everyday. Then, I accepted that UF was going to take forever and tried to distract myself. Didn’t check the website for a few days, and then one night I decided to log on before going to bed and BAM…the admissions decision was up. :p

Definitely couldn’t be referring to me, seeing as though I’ve been posting on here since I sent my application. But anyway, congrats to those who have gotten in.

On a different note, about how long did it take for you guys to receive your letters and such by mail? I cannot sign up for Transfer preview until I receive said letter. I just want to start my History courses already.

@Torey, History major. Considering History and English double major, but I am definitely not Superwoman. Hang in there!

I am definitely one of those random people! But I’m glad I did, I hope the thread “veterans” don’t mind. This is a great resource. Whether your new to it or have been posting since January, we can all learn and gain from sharing information.

So… Thanks for reading and responding to my posts guys. :)

If any of you all have been to preview, or are about to go soon, could you fill the rest of us in on the details of how your day went? I don’t go until June but I can’t wait. I’m actually driving up there this weekend to start house hunting though.

I’m going to the next transfer Preview on May 11. I am so excited. I will definitely give you guys a trip report. My friend went last week and said the whole day was jam-packed with events and getting everything done, but in a good way. She said the best part was all of the food. Can’t wait!

@RpringEE3, well said
@ohboymelissa, I’m excited too, yet nervous because I don’t know what classes to sign up for ::sigh::

PrettyPeridot, I’m the crazy person that spent five hours figuring out which classes I wanted to take and exactly when to take them over the next two years. Plus three different back up schedules in case classes are full. I’m just so excited and can’t wait to get out of the school I am already in.

Is everyone in here transferring from a community college in Florida?

@watwat, thanks for the bus info!
@melissa: yup, broward college. Just one chemistry exam on monday, I can’t wait to get this term over with :D

do you guys think our colleges have the list of classes transfers have to take online?

Have any of you lost some motivation to get do well in your critical tracking courses after being accepted? lol. My condition is that I get my AA. I still have a 4.0, it may go down because of physics, I got a little cocky and didn’t study for the last exam but hopefully the curve is in my favor. I’ve seen engineers get accepted with 3.0’s on here and your GPA resets when you transfer, so why stress it, right? XD

@juan: I hear ya. I kind of feel the same way, but, I really don’t want to slack too much and miss important information that might come up in future classes.

juan, I have chemistry, physics, calculus and macroeconomics finals next week. I have lost all motivation. That is why I am on here. Haha. You still need to keep those grades up for grad school prerequisites though.

I just want it to be August already!

@ohboymelissa, that’s hilarious because I did something similar. Since I got accepted I’ve planned out courses for the next two years in like 5 different ways: with different minors, if I double major, if I do P.A, if I stick to Pre Med, if I decide to apply for an IDS major ect lol but when it comes down to it I’m not sure which schedule I’m going to choose.
@juan- I know what you mean. I have my last final tomorrow and I’ve just been having a major case of ADD lately. Can’t study, just want this week to be over so I can focus making summer plans lol Summer B needs to start already!

My finals week:

Probability and statistics, Calc 3, statics, physics 2.

I just have the physics final tomorrow and I’m done, however, I just realized that I need at least a 33 to keep an A. Yeah… I’m officially done studying this semester.

Lol, best of luck to you all on your exams!

On another note, how are the future gators planning on getting around campus? Bicycle, scooter, motorcycle, car, RTS, or just plain old walking?
I’m opting for the motorcycle since there’s great parking for them and they can do long distance travels + easy on my budget.

Yeah I told my parents they can keep my car if they buy me a gas powered scooter lol but I think I’m gonna have the scooter as an emergency vehicle and only use it if I really have to (mostly because I don’t want to worry about parking and decals). I plan on using mostly the bus to get to campus but we’ll see. I’ve never used the public bus system so idk if its the best option for getting to campus efficiently, in which case I always have my scooter to fall back on.

In my case, I don’t own a car, so I gotta use the public transportation no matter what… so I gotta live near the campus.

To the people who got accepted: Did any of you got anything about the financial aid? Something like a financial aid package or any kind of aid information on ISIS?

When I check my aid status on ISIS, it says it is incomplete because financial aid office cannot confirm my admission, so I called the admissions office and they told me there is a delay in registering accepted student on to their system and I will need to wait little longer…

same thing happened to me with aid, except nobody has given me an answer as to why ^_^
