Hi! I’m looking to transfer to the school of arts and sciences at Syracuse University! I’m currently a freshman at Fordham University!

Objective: 13 credits currently, and currently taking 15 credits (total would be 28 credits at the end of the year); I’m a freshman in my spring semester at Fordham University.

Girl Scout since 2001: Gold Award Project: Created “Stickers for Hope,” a sustainable volunteer project to collect sticker books and other activity books for children with childhood illnesses that have undergone surgery at the Maria Fareri Children’s Hospital. Conducted workshops for younger Girls Scouts, including Brownies and Daisies, to raise money to purchase coloring books, sticker books, and toys. Baked desserts and had bake sales at my local train station to raise money to purchase sticker activities for the children. Organized and held a “Sticker Race” in my local elementary school to collect sticker books and other donations. Coordinated by the volunteer coordinator at Maria Fareri Children’s Hospital, the Mayor of my town, Girl Scout Service Unit Leader, Girl Scout Leaders, and the PTA Volunteer Committee, the Elementary and High School Principals and other community leaders in order to put Stickers for Hope into Action. Recruited other organizations, including the Delta Academy, to adopt the “Stickers for Hope” Project in their communities. Recruited schools in the Netherlands and the United Arab Emirates to successfully participate in the Stickers for Hope program.

@Coolbean22 Hey! Yes I did get in! I got into the college of arts and sciences into their pre-medical program! I haven’t received my financial aid package yet so i can’t really give insight on that! You can ask me anything else though!

I had all my documents in on the 1st of April and got accepted this Monday, so 2/3 weeks. I had a 3.4 GPA at a competitive LAC and am currently taking classes at home this semester (didn’t like the school). As for high school stats, I had a 3.4/3.6 GPA with mid 1800 sats.

@kikaa19 I have not heard back yet unfortunately, and I applied over 4 weeks ago. What school are you applying to?

@Coolbean22 Same, my application was complete on March 29th. Still have not heard anything yet, I applied to School of Education majoring in Health and Exercise Science.

My daughter applied back in February. All material was confirmed received by first week in March. She has been waiting for over 6 weeks and has been told a few times “they are reviewing your application” . Plus she had an interview with SOE around March 20th and was told then she “should” hear soon. No decision yet. Very frustrating.

I am in the same exact boat. It says they have everything, but unfortunately still haven’t heard. May I ask what school she is applying to?

It could be. I’d like to call admissions and ask again, but I already have and would rather not bug them too much about it. Lets just hope we hear soon!

In my letter it states that I have to enroll by May 1st to secure my spot, so if everyone adheres to this rule, I would assume you’d have to hear back ASAP. Good luck to everyone still waiting!

P.S- keeping checking your Admissions Acceptance Form tab on your MySlice (I found out by doing this that I got in a few days before I was officially emailed).

Still haven’t heard. Strange. My guess is I was probably rejected then if i’d have to enroll by May 1st. Oh well. Good luck to the other applicants!

Coolbean22, Don’t give up hope. When I last called (3rd time in 8 weeks) they said my D’s app was in Q to be reviewed. I have to believe they are overwhelmed with applications. We are sending in a deposit to her second choice tonight. We’ll just have to loose the $200. if Syracuse comes through.

May I ask what school are you trying to transfer into?
