@YRNYRN Yeah from what I’ve read applicants usually find out the following day. I’m so nervous I keep checking every hour! What school did you apply to?
@peony13 I’ve been checking multiple times an hour, the suspense is killing me. I applied to the college of Arts and Sciences as a Mathematics major, how about you?
@YRNYRN We’re on the same boat. Do you have an idea of what time we will find out? Oh awesome! I applied to the college of Arts and Sciences as a Communications major! What are your stats if you don’t mind me asking
@peony13 Well, I would say at around noon tomorrow, judging from what other people have experienced, but can’t really be for sure. I’m a freshman in college (just graduated from high school), and currently go to community college in the Bay Area. I maintained a 3.82 last semester taking 15 transferrable semester units, and currently have a 4.0 taking 20 semester units (sent on the midterm report), while also completing all of the requirements for the College of Arts and Sciences. I also sent in my SAT along with high school grades, I got a 2170 overall on the SAT and had a high school GPA of about 2.7. I also used the maximum three letters of rec, two from professors at my college, and one from a former basketball coach. Those are pretty much my stats in terms of grades, if you would like to know what I used for Extracurriculars I’d be more than happy to answer!
@YRNYRN you sound like a very qualified applicant!
@peony13 Wishing you the best of luck for your admission decision! Hopefully we both find out tomorrow.
@YRNYRN thank you good luck to you too! keep me updated!
Hey everybody!
So I was accepted to the Leavey School of Business yesterday! My eCampus currently says “You are not authorized for this page” under application status and the rest of my eCampus is basically blank. I found out I was admitted indirectly by receiving an email about my transcript evaluation.
A little about me:
Current Sophomore @ a private university
3.65 GPA - Honors Program with a tough course load
Maybe 2/3 Volunteer projects and a few professional projects that aligned perfectly with SCU’s mission/vision.
No internships
I never submitted my mid-term report either by the way. Hope this helps guys I’m sure everybody’s decisions will come soon!
@scutransfer1234 congratulations that is so awesome!!
ACCEPTED! In tears because SCU has been my dream school and I didn’t get in as a Senior. My stats are on page 1. Good luck to everyone!
@peony13 I am SO happy for you!!! You have been waiting so long, and really deserve this!!! Hope to see you there iin the fall! Yay transfers!!!
@searchforhome Thank you so much! I’m so proud of all of us!!
ACCEPTED! I check it this morning. Good luck to everyone. BTW does anyone know when we know the financial aid package as a transfer student ? thanks
Submitted application in January. Still no word yet, so I called the admissions office and they said it’s still under review, and most people should know by middle of the month of May.
To all you who have already found out, congratulations! Here’s hoping the rest of us find out soon~
@namesdontmattr Keep us posted! Wishing you the best! Feel free to share your stats if you are comfortable doing so.
5’10", 175lbs, human male.
I did the Navy instead of going to college. Got into the Nuclear program there and was on an aircraft carrier for 6 years. I took some correspondance courses while deployed, but now I’m a civilian so I’ve been hitting it pretty hard while working full time. I have a ~3.67GPA. I’m going for EE. Applied to places in the area because of my career.
Do people post their stats to get told what chance they have to get in?
@namesdontmattr That could be one reason! I think generally it is a helpful tool for future applicants to look back on other people’s stats for an idea range of who a specific school is admitting.
@ngangela thanks for that input! I really don’t think it would be bad at all to start at a community college especially since going from full-time work taking one or two classes online to full-time student in person is a big adjustment and maybe starting at community college will make for a smoother transition. Another point that may or may not be worth mentioning is how it would affect me applying to the state schools like Berkeley. I am pretty set on engineering so if I don’t get into SCU Engineering from Arts and Sciences I will have to transfer anyway. Some of the big state schools, like Berkeley, have told me they give a little preference to people coming from community college since they can’t finish their degree there. But like you said I guess Pros and Cons!
Do any of you know how hard it is for transfers to get the classes we need in fall?
Anyone still waiting to find out? I submitted at the end of January and still haven’t seen anything change on the website. Wondering if that means a no.
