Hi! I am a freshman at Concordia University in Montreal, I had a messy situation in high school where I did really bad at a Pre-Cal course during the time I was applying to both Concordia and McGill. McGill rejected me and I was heartbroken, since it was the university I have dreamed of going and immaturely a person I didn't like so much got accepted. I immediately dropped out my Pre-Cal course, which is most probably the reason for rejection. Since i've only applied to those two universities, Concordia luckily accepted me after my course drop and I took the offer. I graduated High School with Honours, and still feel bad because I truly believe I was supposed to go to McGill. Anyways sob story shortened, I am not really enjoying the environment of Concordia and know that JMSB (Concordia's Business School) has quite a reputation for it's business school among Canada, however, I don't plan on staying here for work and I know McGill has a better reputation worldwide and was wondering if it's possible to transfer as soon as possible to Desautels (I am in my first year, first semester, was wondering if anyone or anyone you know has gone through this situation. I plan on getting my GPA as high as possible, so that I hopefully can transfer.

Most Canadian schools do not allow you to apply for transfer until you’ve completed at least one year. The reason for this is that most first year classes are full year courses. There’s no guarantee that you’d be accepted for transfer, but if you work hard and do very well in first year, you’ll put yourself in the best possible position.

I think McGill is in the best position to answer your question. Contact them directly.
