I was just wondering what are the chances of transfering from a CSU (such as sdsu or fullerton or long beach) and into a UC school. I have asked my counselors and they said its possible but maybe difficult. I was just wondering does anyone have any information on this. ALso What about a transfer to a private school such as USC or would my best choice be to go to a CC and transfer to a UC rather than going to cal state.

Transferring from a CSU to a UC is more difficult because you're put behind CCC students and students from other UC schools.

USC has articulation agreements with some CSU's and UC's such as Cal Poly Pomona, Cal State Long Beach, Cal State LA, UCLA, UCR. They will probably accept most of your classes from other Cal States, but those schools are on the articulation record. I don't believe that they give any more/less preference whether you transfer from a CC or CSU or UC because it's a private school.

If you're really dedicated to transfer and think you'll do well, it's much safer to go to a CC.

UCs set priority for CCC students, freshman, other UC school and then CSU...so your chance are low, unless you have an awesome GPA...i suggest you attend CCC unless you have an outstanding GPA, good EC and a killer essay!! GOOD LUCK..

do you think i could transfer from fullerton to usc. Like if i get a really high gpa. DO you think its possible from that school?

From what I heard, UCs do not allow transfers from CSUs.

Or I might be wrong...

Your best chance if you want a UC diploma is to do the 2 cc years by far. USC takes a lot of transfers, but if you take prescribed pathes at a cc and do reasonably well, you will be guaranteed a UC spot.
