Transfer from CUNY to BING-SOM. Chances? PLEASE.

Wondering what my chances are, reality speaking.
Freshman at CUNY. Fall 2012

Cuny
Gpa; 3.425/12credits
Took Calc microeconomics english110, urban studies

Should be expecting 27credits in total by fall 2012

Public HS
Gpa 3.0
1600/2400

I know these stats are weak.
Be frank with me :)
Wondering if I should apply under EOP or even Undeclared Major.
Please help!

If you are currently in the EOP program at CUNY, then you can apply. If you’re not, then you’re ineligible. Honestly, with a 3.4 GPA, it is best to stay at CUNY for 2 years and then apply to Bing SOM since it is the most selective school at Bing. However, you could go to Harpur and try to get a 3.7+ GPA and do an intra-transfer to Bing SOM. Well GL, I’m currently a first year student at CUNY Baruch that just submitted my app for Bing SOM (Accounting)

Thanks so much for your reply nycdave21.
May I ask what your gpa and stats? and Have you gotten accepted?
So to be sure, what exactly are my chances? Slim to None? Or at least a decent shot?
Any other universities/colleges that has a great business program that I’d have a chance at transferring?

Thank you once again.

guitarman31, u might have a shot cause thats the average gpa to get into binghamton, but then agian this is SOM. I was waitlisted last year from SOM as a 1st year applicant. Right now I am going to Stony Brook and have a 3.25 gpa. I called the admissions office and they said that I have pretty good shot of getting in cause I was waitlisted and I have a solid gpa at a well established SUNY univeristy. With your stats you should be able to make all SUNy schools besides bing and geneso, try applying to stony brook, just letting u know that it’s not the best for business.
