Transfer from DVC to UC Davis

Hi,
I would like to major in biomedical engineering. This summer, I will start going to DVC. Although it is possible to finish the lower division requirements for UC Davis in two years, it may be extremely hard to register for the classes. For example, I was planning to take a physics class in the fall semester, and my registration date is this Saturday. However, the class I want is already filled up. I’m afraid this may happen with other classes I need to register for and that I may not be able to register for and complete all of the courses required on time.
I was wondering if it would be possible to transfer to UC Davis (or any other UC) even if I do not finish all of the required lower division courses by spring 2018 (I plan to be at a 4-year university by fall 2018).
Thank you in advance!

There is no rule that says you have to take all your classes at DVC. Look at other CCs in the area and see if they have the classes you need. Many people in this forum ended up taking classes at 2 or even 3 CC.

I have taken classes at 5 different CCs :))

I’ve gone to 7 or 8. In a single semester, I went to 4.

Utilizing other CCs in your area is a great way to maximize your schedule, find the best teachers, etc. Easier classes can be knocked out online too at other schools.

Lots of options.
