Hi,
I am a first year student in Oxford College of Emory University. For a brief summary of this Emory system - all students in emory university declare their majors at the end of the second year, so students will have to apply to the schools in Emory again based on their majors on the second year. Oxford college in Emory is easier to get in because it accepts students with lower SATs and GPAs, but they will end up with an Emory university degree eventually.

I studied for 4 years in a boarding high school around los angeles, and I really like California that I want to go back. I am not really liking the Georgia state, as well as the oxford college because it is so isolated. I am wondering that what is my chance for me to transfer to USC. I am thinking about business majors, econ, undecided or any major that will get me into USC. Emory actually has a better ranking both in general and business school. Will this make it easier for me to transfer? (I am an international student, but studied high school in the us) I am thinking about trying to transfer this year and the second year to increase my chance of getting in.

If possible, what other schools would you recommend me to transfer. Duke was my first choice when I was applying to college. But i don't know if transferring to Duke is really hard for me or not, or anything schools around that range such as ivy leagues. I was thinking about transferring to NYU and UCLA. but USC is my priority.
