Transfer from Penn state erie to NYU/Cornell/UPenn

Hello,

I was accepted into Penn state erie for fall 2013, and I was wondering If I can transfer to another university after the first year? If it's not possible with the universities listed above NYC/Cornell/UPenn, what other good universities I can get into as a transfer from Penn state erie?

Thank you

You can get into PSU University Park.
Of course you can try Cornell, NYU, and Penn, but you need a strong high school and college record.

Your college record is more important than your high school record for transferring. You will want to show heavy involvement in the campus community and write strong essays that detail why you think these colleges would be a better fit! Good luck!

Also with Cornell, make sure that you meet all of the requirements for the school you apply to!

Thank you guys so much.
The admission for Arizona state and Washington state are still open. Will they give me better chance of getting accepted into these school? or I should stay with Penn state-erie?

Stay with where you are unless you really hate it there!

Stay at your university. If you can have a strong GPA, essays, letters of rec, ec, then you will be accepted to upenn, cornell, nyu. But these schools are very competitive. Most likely if you were not accepted through high school, then it is a lot harder to get accepted as a transfer.
