Transfer from small honors college to big university

Hello, I am planning to attend law school after I receive my BA. But will transferring from FAU honors college to UF or FSU for my senior year look bad?
Also, which college would be better to graduate from?

It doesn’t matter. Successful people graduate from all different types of colleges and universities and some don’t obtain higher education at all.

Your GPA + LSAT will matter much more.

Why are you transferring for your senior year? Is that possible at UF or FSU?

^^^I think UF may cap the number of credits that transfers at 60. You should check with admissions.

Most colleges require students to attend for 2 years before they will grant a diploma. Check with the schools you are considering transferring into. Honestly I don’t think a transfer for one year makes sense.

It doesn’t matter for law schools strictly speaking but if Wilkes limits your course choices* too much, attending UF/FSU can bring more choices. However you’ll have to spend 2 years at whatever campus you’re admitted to. You could apply for a spring transfer perhaps?

  • for readers: there are only about 500 students total so the course choices are likely to be greatly limited at the upper level
