Transfer help

I am a current freshman at Bowdoin college. But unfortunately I don’t think the small college life is the one for me. I am asking for help as to ideas of where I can transfer and goals to hit if I intend to transfer.

So as a high schooler I had a GPA of about 3.3 and an ACT of 29

But I’m hoping a strong freshman year GPA will help me.

Also I need a college that is affordable so either instate tuition at a California school, or a out of state school with a strong finiacial aid department.

Does anyone know of colleges that will take first year transfers that are within my grasps?

Also what freshman GPA should I aim for if I want to transfer?

Thank you for your time.

In what sense are you a Bowdoin freshman? Isn’t first year arrival day tomorrow?

arriving first year

If you truly don’t want to be at Bowdoin, completely withdraw now so you’ll be eligible for grants at other colleges. If you complete a year there you’ll likely be considered a transfer, and transfers usually don’t get much aid.

If you don’t like small colleges, what is it about Bowdoin that led you to apply there? What makes you think you won’t like it? You should either go in with the intention of staying, or take a gap year and come up with a new plan.

^ I agree with @austinmshauri Fix it now or go with the intent of staying.
