So I currently go to Bowdoin and after my first semester I think I may want to transfer to another university.
I only got into Bowdoin because of sports in high school I had about a 3.3 gpa and a 28 ACT
What schools take first year transfers?
Also I have done well at Bowdoin will that give me enough leverage to transfer to a academically strong college even though my high school performance was not ideal?
Why did you go when you knew you wanted to transfer back in August? The closer you are to your HS time the more likely colleges will include that in their admissions criteria for transfers. Also, the more competitive the school the more likely. One semester will not give you “leverage”.
Most schools accept first-year transfers, but if you would like to matriculate in the spring of this coming year, you may have missed many of the application cut-offs.
