I'm looking for some advice: I'm transferring in this fall, and while my vaccination records are (were) due on the 30th of June, I've been holding off on sending them in until I know for sure whether or not I will be offered dorm housing.

The meningitis vaccination required would serve a pretty rough blow to my economy, so I'd rather not take it only to find out there was no need. Still nothing in the mail as far as housing is concerned. What do you guys suggest I do? Call the health services about the delay or wait a few more days?

I am almost positive you will be offered on campus house. I'd call not the health services folks but the admissions office or any other contact point they've given you as a transfer student to verify housing.

I'm not that concerned about either way (even though I'm sure living in the dorms would be a blast), but I'm worried not having sent the health forms in on time would complicate registration for classes or any number of things later on.

They gave the 29th as a date for letting us know, so I figured there'd be just enough time to go to the vaccination clinic and then have the form express-mailed. Are they very strict about a few days of delay?

I actually called the YHS because my doctor had to order the meningitis vaccine and wouldn't have it until the middle of July. Because of my health insurance I had to wait for him and YHS said it was fine that I could send in the information late as they only give a deadline to give a deadline and that it wasn't strictly enforced. The representative also mentioned that as long as you get the meningitis shot before the start of term it is acceptable.
