Hi, I transferred to Cal last year from community college. I suggest Sociology if you’re looking for ease of entry.
Most people don’t realize that although the Sociology major has a lower acceptance rate, it’s only because most of the people who apply to Sociology have relatively low GPAs (3.0-3.4).

On the other hand, Berkeley has one of the most competitive Legal Studies programs in the country, and most students who apply to the Legal Studies major have GPAs of 3.9-4.0.

Also, Legal Studies at Berkeley is majorly impacted, so next year or two years from now they could realize that they don’t have any space for transfer students because too many Berkeley sophomores declare Legal Studies as their major. It’s a gamble, but if you think about it enough you’ll come to a logical conclusion.
