I'm expecting that I will be rejected from my application to enter the Kelley School of Business at Indiana University. I will have between 3.3 and 3.4 GPA upon exiting. I'm looking to pursue a business degree elsewhere, and I was wondering what some realistic expectations are.

Firstly, I will get my admission decision in June and obviously will have to take a semester off if I were to apply for Spring admission somewhere (two semesters off for Fall admission).

As I mentioned I will have between a 3.3 and 3.4 GPA with 60 credit hours. My course load includes beginning and intermediate level accounting courses, beginning and upper level business communications courses, business computing courses, beginning and intermediate level economics courses, and some gen ed courses. I have a respectable amount of extra-curricular involvement.

From what I've seen, most schools do not want my high school transcript at this late stage but do want my SAT score. The highest individual score I got was a 2070, and the highest superscore is 2130.

My idea was to get a decent internship for either one or two semesters and submit an application for a respectable business school. UT Austin would be close to home but I know McCombs is very competitive, as are the other top ranked business schools.

What should I realistically be looking at here?

Thanks in advance for anyone's help!
