okay, so im a soon to be college freshman. The best college and the college that im enrolled in right now is UCI. But I want to go to USC or a better UC college. I met with a USC counselor and he gave me a community college schedule to take, which completely contradicts what the CC wants you to do, so I am able to transfer in one year if I receive around a 3.8-4.0. So basically if I dont get into USC, I am screwed because I did not take any of the core GE's to transfer into another college and will have to spend another year at the CC (Basically repeating a grade or cramming two years into one). But if I stay at UCI, I think it will be a little to difficult to get A's to transfer to USC and UC to UC transfer is hard enough (plus the quarter system makes it confusing for USC). So, would you play it safe and stick with UCI, or gamble with a CC (which is basically all or nothing)

If you REALLY want to go to USC, then Community College is probably your better option.

You could probably get back into UCI with a 3.0.

I've never looked into the transfer requirements for USC so I'd recommend comparing it against the UC minimum requirments for transfer admissions, University of California - Admissions . We don't generally recommend focusing on GE to transfer; we recommend you prepare to meet transfer eligibility first and then focus on preparation for your major second and if you have time then focus on GE/IGETC.

yeah you can usually fufill both prereqs and GE in 2 years
dont sweat it

apply to more than usc
