Does anyone know the transfer acceptance rate to the University of Maryland - College Park?

Also, does anyone know the external transfer acceptance rate directly to the LEP Smith School of Business @ UMCP?

Lastly, when do students usually transfer? can you transfer after first year of college?

Hello EllexInc, I believe that you asked this question on another posting thread for the UMD forum last month. Your questions were already answered, please reread what was said. I answered most of your questions regarding the Robert H. Smith’s School of Business and the transfer process to get into Smith.

As for transferring to the University of Maryland, it is suggested that you do two years in college and then transfer to UMD. The more college credits and a good GPA you have, the less your high school transcript and test scores will matter. Thank you for your post.

Thank you for your response. I was already accepted to the University for the upcoming fall term, however, I feel it is a bit expensive to attend. I want to go to a state university for a year or so and try to transfer since it will then cost less.

Crazygirl9999, people often ask questions on more than one thread to get a variety of answers. Most people want advice from people who actually attend, or have attended, the university, or from parents of students. From your past posts, it looks like you are not a student at UMD. While the links you provided are helpful, I wouldn’t discourage people from trying to get answers from more than one thread/person in order to get inside perspectives. That is the point of CC.

^exactly, thank you.
