According to the undergraduate bulletin :

"Successful applicants in these majors will, in addition to our regular admission criteria, typically have earned outstanding grades in college calculus and physics. Consideration is given to students who have performed well in advanced science and math courses..."

Which calculus and physics classes are they talking about specifically?

Thanks.

You can look at the intended major in Stony Brook, and see what lower level classes are needed to proceed in the major.

Under the computer science major, they do list two semesters of calculus as necessary, but for both math and science they give the option of choosing from a couple different paths such as bio, chem, or physics for science. I understand that is required for completing the major, but for acceptance into the program I wonder if there is specific science courses that need to be complete before entering.
