Transfer Requirements

Hello,

I was denied admission as a Freshman and now after 1 semester at my CC with 16 credits and a 3.13 GPA I want to apply for Fall 2011 as a transfer. However, since I have less than 30 college credits at the time of applying (March 1st), they require high school transcripts. My high school transcript is litered with a few C's, D's and possibly an E, but is still at/above a 3.0 (3.02 last I remember). Also, my SAT scores must be sent and I got an 1860/2400, with 720 for reading and 600ish/500ish for writing/math. While I know they typically admit transfer students with a college GPA of above 3.0, my question is how much my high school work will impact my chances. Thanks in advance.

I think if you have still fewer than 30 credits, they will look on your HS record. Why don’t you stay another semester or two to boost your GPA? Are you instate?

I am in state. Yes they will want to see it and I want to leave the CC asap because I feel like a failure there.
