someone please respond

im wondering why you wanna transfer out of midd? midd is way much better than some of the colleges you want to transfer to…

As a transfer, you really need to consider how those schools affect your financial aid. Did you check? NYU has horrific financial aid.

Also, as a transfer, some schools will only look at your college grades and activities. High school scores and stats don’t weigh too much in transfer admissions. (Why would you put in middle school activities???).

Did you check to see if some of those schools accept sophomore transfers? You’ve picked some really tough schools that have limited seats for transfers.

the major I want to pursue is not offered at Middlebury and I do not feel comfortable in the environment

@“aunt bea” NYU does have horrific financial aid and I have taken it into account that I may not receive much from them but Columbia I believe is pretty good with their aid. As for middle school activities I have not mentioned that in the application process however I put that here to give everyone a better feel for who I was as an individual. And yes these schools accept sophomore transfers.

I think you have good chances at NYU and Northwestern and Tufts.
Duke and UChicago are highly competitive and it may be more difficult to get in there.
Barnard and Columbia are very highly selective so this would be most difficult
Best of luck.
