Transfer student...desperately need some input

K… I’m a Virginia Tech First year. Took Chemistry, Sociology, Honors Freshman English Comp.(i.e. you have to write perfectly to get an A), Anthropology, and Calculus - 4.0 for first semester
Upcoming Spring Semester - Chem II, Chem Lab, Physix, Physix Lab, Government, Philosophy, Greek & Roman Myth - I can pretty much gurantee the same GPA…well…might get a B in one subject at the most, but I’m gonna be tryin my hardest so I doubt it

SATs - M-690 V-620 Total-1310

In State - Virginia Resident

High School: 3.56 GPA

What chances do you think I have at transferring to UVA in Fall 2005?

why do you want to transfer?

Get further away from home and have more opportunities open to me after graduation. Tech's nice...but it limits you if you want to do...say....Law or Medicine

If you wanna do engineering or teaching...VT all the way.....oh yeah...did i mention blacksburg is SOOOOOOOOOOO boring

I think you have a great chance. Your college GPA is much, much more important than your high school GPA. It proves that you can do well in college. Plus 1310 is a good SAT score for in-state admittance into UVa. Good luck!
