So i was accepted to Rutgers New Brunswick SAS. What campus do transfer students usually live in? Does it usually depend on your major? And will i be with other transfer students or new/freshmen students as well?

And another quick question...I was wondering if its possible to apply to the business school after attending SAS for one year? I didn't want to apply directly because i felt my GPA wasn't strong enough and i know the Business School is very competitive.

Transfer students can room on any campus, you can rank the campuses in order of preference on the housing application that should now be available on your accepted student site. There are no exact statistics on how many go to each campus, and while Livingston used to get quite a few in the past I don’t think that’s still the case. You will be rooming with another transfer student.

Unfortunately, Rutgers isn’t sensible enough to link your housing assignment to your major so your best bet is to look up where you will have the most classes or the type of environment you want to live in and move on from there.

I wasn’t business school, and the people I know in RBS got in right out of high school, so someone else should probably answer that question. I do think it’s possible, though.

Yeah that’s what my brother said, most transfer students would live in Livingston when he used to go to Rutgers. Thanks for the input!

I paid my Admission fee on Wednesday do you know how long does it take for Rutgers to process the payment. I don’t think i can do my any of the housing stuff till then am i right?
