Transfer Student Scholarships

Hey, I am looking to transfer to the U for Fall 2012. Is anyone else going to be doing this? Any past transfers want to share on how the process was? Also, has anyone gotten any scholarships as a transfer? Thanks!

IIRC UM used to give transfer scholarships. I think they still do, but I’m not sure. I’m also fairly certain that they are not as generous as the merit aid for incoming freshman. I’ve heard $8k and $16k thrown around a lot.

Good luck.

Looks like the highest amount they give is $16k. Which, like hb15 said, is not as good as the aid for incoming freshman, is fairly solid for transfer merit aid. Most schools will give you zilch or next to it if you are transferring. Need based aid is another story, but usually that is not as good for transfer students as opposed to financial aid, but I’m not sure if Miami is like that.

Good luck. What’s your GPA? Or are you freshman now, with no GPA?

For financial need my efc was 0 and the really awarded jack with 15 unsubsidized in loans… nothing compared to my other schools
