Transfer Students' Statistics

I'm currently going to be attending another University in Texas for Fall 2005 as a freshman, but am already thinking about transferring to UT for Fall 2006 due to various reasons.

I was wondering what some of the statistics are for those who did get into the University as transfer students. Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

If I remember correctly, College Board's website said that there were about 10,000 apps and about 2,300 kids got accepted. Some schools are harder to transfer into - like the business school. The b-school got 1000 apps and 80 kids got accepted. To get in you need at least a 3.9 with most, if not all, of the indicator courses listed on the UT website. For college of communications, you need about 3.6+. Engineering is tough, too, but I don't know the specifics. Liberal Arts and Natural Sciences are the easiest to transfer into. I've heard of people getting in with as low as a 3.4! And there are no indicator courses, so you could take underwater basket weaving and stuff like that, have a 3.4, and still get in. I could be wrong, though. They might be taking the 3.4s that have taken a more rigorous course load. Just call the school that you want to transfer into and they'll tell you all about it. They're very nice.

Thanks a lot for this info!

Anyone else that has transferred into UT or know any info about it?
