I’ve been researching a lot schools but it’s pretty complicated trying to find one with exactly what i’m looking for. I was wondering if anyone can suggest some schools
I’m looking for
-a small school
-in the northeast
-good neuroscience program
-A school i could get into with a 3.9 GPA (with 38 credits, 24 from dual enrollment)
Have you run a basic college search?
I just ran one on the collegeboard website where I used <2000 students, new england setting, public or private university, neuroscience; and I got:
Amherst
Bates
Bowdoin
Colby
Connecticut
Hampshire
Wheaton
Thanks for the suggestions! I’ve done a lot of searches and came up with some schools, but I figured I’d ask college confidential to see if anyone else knew of any other schools that I may not have found in my other searches.
Just based on my previous experience on college confidential I think that your best bet is to come up with a preliminary list first. Otherwise sometimes people pass over the post because it’s a bit too vague to answer easily.
IMO, come up with a list of 5-10 schools, and then post on the college search/selection forum and I’m sure people will give you feedback and recommend similar schools. Also, when making a list of transfer schools make sure you go to their website and look at their “common data sets”. In Section D there will be information about transfer acceptance rates which can differ from their freshman admit rates. You might notice that some desirable colleges are even harder to get into for transfer.
Thats really good advice, thanks! Ill definitely come up with a list
