@Ammbym I think their financial aid department messed up freshmen and transfer, what the hell do you need transfers’ HS transcript for? What if the transfer graduated from HS 20 years ago? It happens!!!

Hi guys from this thread, it is May 1st deposit day, I just called their financial service office and they told me that I have to pay about $23000 per semester FLAT for 12 to 18 unites, so it’s about $46000 a year, I got about $30,000 scholarship and $5000 subsidize loan, just wonder are you guys going to this school? It is just like USC about $1600 per unit which is very expensive…
I think I’ve decided that I’m going to go to University of San Diego instead. USF was not helpful at all in terms of telling me how long I’d have to be there for, while USD really cares about their students graduating on time(my brother is about to graduate from USD). As well, USD has a great international business program. Sadly, both of these schools are very expensive.
@egm1712 It seems like you are out of state? In state UC Tuition is only like $16000 a year and you get a lot of financial aid. I’m deciding between this private school or UC Davis since they both are Nor Cal, Davis doesn’t have finance major and I won’t get any chance for interns since the city is far from San Francisco, that’s the only reason I’m hesitating to Davis. I guess I have to talk to my family, I need to pay about $15000 a year for the next two and half years, so about $37000 to a second tier Jesuit school
@tommygrangel I’m probably going to this school, just because I’m so in love with the city. I already paid my deposit, but I am still thinking about backing out because of the price tag
@Seabreeze843 yeah, in San Francisco you get tons of job opportunities and connections for sure, it’s just $45000 a year flat… Really expensive… How are you going to pay for this? How much they offered you awards?
@tommygrangel I don’t want to get too into money on a public forum, but my family can afford it. I got $13,000 a year in transfer scholarships as well
@Seabreeze843 sure, don’t worry no one has any info. about you lol. My family is willing to pay for this but im thinking taking all those money for my Master lol
Just to let you guys know, if you are not going into the nursing program you have till June 1st to pay your admission deposit.
@Nostalgia58 Yeah I made a mistake, I just called their admission, transfers have until June 1st for that deposit
I actually haven’t heard back from USF. I’ve been in contact with admissions but they keep saying that I’ll hear back soon. This is my top school, so if I do get in most likely I’ll attend the school! In terms of money, I definitely agree that USF is an expensive school to go to but my parents are going to help pay for it plus students loans. #:-S
It’s really frustrating too because the deadline for state schools to accept or decline was yesterday. I had to deposit and choose a school just in case I don’t get in.
Hey if we got rejected would we get a letter or email ?
Yes @Nostalgia58
Hey guys I got accepted, but how do I know about financial aid ? I did not get any information in my package. In adittion, I cant make a deposit, are you guys going throught the same problems ? @danib @tommygrangel
@Nostalgia58 Congrats brother! Financial Aid should be arriving to your house in couple days, but you have to make a deposit before June 1st, so if I were you I wouldn’t wait, I would just call their financial aid office and email them together. About deposit I have no idea, probably you just got accepted they are still adjusting something, but I wouldn’t wait at this point cause deadline is coming, try to contact them ASAP.
Hey guys! I’m looking to transfer, how many credits did most of you have? I’m debating whether I should try and transfer after I finish this year of community college or if I should complete two years.
