Transfer to Boston College, CSOM vs. Arts & Sciences

I am applying to transfer to Boston College, entering as a junior in fall 2015. I carry a 3.7 GPA at a 4 year private university. that is also a Jesuit university. I am very involved on campus and I have an internship lined up at a Fortune 100 company for this coming summer. I understand CSOM only takes a handful of external transfers every year. Would it be a good idea to apply for Arts & Sciences and then transfer internally if I get in? Does the difference in the acceptance rate warrant that strategy?

some years, CSOM takes no transfers. So your best transfer chance is likely A&S. But no, you will not be able to transfer into CSOM from A&S. You could always major in something close, like Econ.

Merry Christmas.

Are some majors within A&S that are more competitive than others? Would Econ be one of those majors that would make it harder to get accepted?
