<p>Is this even heard of/possible? How likely is it that I will be accepted as a transfer if I maintain a 4.0 GPA, have extracurriculars like varsity COLLEGE tennis, clubs, community service and such? I plan to major in chemistry and then apply to med schools in the east, such as Harvard or JHU. I've also been accepted to JHU undergrad but I might turn it down for Davis, since it is cheaper to do so. I'm also African American, but I'm not sure if that helps much.</p>

<p>Definitely much less common than junior transfers, but definitely possible - I have a friend who transferred from UCSB after First Year and another friend who transferred from UCSD. From what I've heard, UCs are much pickier about students transferring between UC campuses than junior transfers from CCs, but again, not unheard of.</p>
<p>Thanks..this gives me a lot of hope! If it were not for Berkeley, and possibly Stanford so close by, I would have probably gone to JHU. Any more opinions?</p>
